Happy Skin x Disney x Second Skin Foundation

Happy Skin x Disney (Snow White) and Second Skin Liquid Foundation Review

If you’ve been following my blog or vlog for a while now, it should be pretty obvious that I super duper love Snow White.  Hence, when I saw that Happy Skin collaborated with Disney,  I immediately told Kim that I have to check their “Snow White Moisturizing Matte Lippie”.

Last week, we went to Eastwood to specifically look for Happy Skin’s kiosk because I can’t stop talking about it,  plus I kept stalking people posting their new Disney lippies.  LOL 😳

When I finally laid my eyes on their “Snow White Moisturizing Matte Lippie”, it was love at first swipe sight.   I did not even bother checking the other Disney Princesses, Haha.. (But  a lot of peeps told me I should have)

Anyway,  I love how it glides on my lips,  for a matte lipstick, there were no pulling or tugging – ’twas super smooth!!!!

Note that my lips can get really dry,  I never leave home without using my beloved Carmex or Lip Bam Balm, but this lipstick’s a 2 in 1.  It moisturizes your lips while giving it a rich red color.

Can you see how pigmented this is???  I super duper love its color!!!

The “Snow White Moisturizing Matte Lippie”  is not kiss-proof or transfer-proof,  but it holds up well.   As you can see in the photo below,  I have 2 lipstick swatches, one at 7pm (below) and another one when we got home after watching a movie at around 1am (ish).   I wore a pullover (long sleeves) and my arm must have rubbed against my clothing but the lipstick still showed a hint of color.   (You can also watch my video below where I even ate tacos but I still ended up with a nice hint of color!)

Will I repurchase?  Definitely!

Aside from its packaging, which I really love,  I also like that the color itself is very pigmented but not overbearing.    I’ve tried other red lipsticks and found their shades to be a bit off or “too shiny red” (if there’s such a description).  LOL

Happy Skin nailed this shade, like seriously!  😉

It’s also a plus for me that it has ingredients that are known to hydrate/ moisturize the skin.   It has Aloe Vera Extract, Coconut Oil, Jojoba Oil, to name a few.

Moving on to the next Happy Skin product… (drum roll please)  😎

I also want to share my thoughts about their “Second Skin Cream Silicone-Free Foundation”.

Second Skin Cream Silicone-Free Foundation In Soft Beige

To be honest,  I am a first-time liquid foundation buyer.  LOL (Seriously tho!)

I’ve tried BB Creams before, but I never bought a tube or a bottle of liquid foundation.  You can ask my Momskie,  Kim or even my exes!  LOL  In my opinion,  buying such requires skills… which I don’t have! hahahahahahah  I hardly even buy compact or pressed powders,  liquid foundation pa kaya?! LOL

So why did I buy this tube?

I bought this tube because the lady at the counter recommended it!   😆  I am easy to convince like that! LOL

Kidding aside,  she had me try the tester and I was amazed at the results.  During application, it actually almost disappeared on my skin but I felt good and my face looked better looking in the mirror.   She said that foundations should be like that anyway,   that it should disappear at your jawline (or something to that effect).  Now I know why it’s called “Second Skin” –   It gives you a flawless look without making you look like you’ve put on a mask or something.

This silicone free foundation has a lightweight formula that won’t clog your pores.   Did I mention that it has SPF 20?  Pretty neat, huh?  😎

On a side note, though,  if you are a person who needs more coverage,  I am not quite sure if this is for you.   Or maybe you can consider an extra layer if you wish more coverage.

Also,  I am acidic, hence the recommendation that I get the “Soft Beige” shade.  If you’re acidic, too, don’t get the “Natural Beige” and opt for the lighter one since it might turn darker later.

Will I repurchase?  Not yet 100% sure since I feel that I need to try wearing the product over and over again to evaluate whether it’s a good fit for me.
